He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, the LORD gives sight to the blind, he lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves those who live justly. The LORD watches over the immigrant and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. -Psalm 146:7-9

Trinkets to Treasure #2

As I right this ,there is a mass round of gun shots going off around my crib (that's the word for house in the hood :) (will add more "hood" terms later)..anyway..todays trinket to treasure is soo appropriate for me now

Your Trinket today is Trail Mix. When you hit the trails of life, you must be prepared. Knowing where to turn for nourishment and shelter is vital. Make sure you remain a happy camper in your day-to day life by taking hold of the encouragement found only in your bible. God has surrounded us with the means to be encouraged-little things throughout our day to lift our hearts. These are welcome tidbits, but unless we are tapping into God's word on a daily basis, we are starving ourselves unnecessarily. The encouragement we receive from the bible is real stick-it-to -your ribs stuff. It will stay with you , no matter how steep the trail in front of you gets.

37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word
.-- Psalm 119
