Woman arrested for stealing deli meat in Hicksville

Nassau Police arrested a 21-year-old Westbury woman at midnight on Sunday, a week after she allegedly stole a bag of deli meat from a Stop N' Shop in Hicksville.
Nicole King, of Sharon Lane, allegedly hid several delicatessen items in a bag at the Old Country Road store on Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. A 27-year-old male security guard, unnamed by police, confronted King in a parking lot but was unable to detain her, police said. Police said several females assaulted the security guard, fled into a white Nissan with King, and left the scene.
Following an investigation, police charged King with second-degree robbery. She is scheduled to be arraigned today. The security guard refused medical attention at the time, police said.
