He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, the LORD gives sight to the blind, he lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves those who live justly. The LORD watches over the immigrant and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. -Psalm 146:7-9

Summer Camp!!

The summer camp will officially begin on Monday, June 7th. We have 16 interns living in the neighborhood for the summer who will help lead the camp. They are staying in a house that has been newly renovated by our partner ministry 'House to House' and that will eventually be sold to a wonderful family. The camp will serve 120 kids from our community and last for 8 weeks. It will serve as a safe haven for these children while providing an environment of grace and love, but also teaching structure and justice. Camp will also give us a chance to develop the kids age 6-14 through the bible studies focusing on creation, fall, and redemption, small group discussions, mentoring, and exposure to arts, sports, and entrepreneurial classes culminating in a week away camping in cabins at a lake. Please pray for our staff, the interns, volunteers, and all the kids and their parents as we begin this camp.

Needs:

1. Camp Sponsorships- it costs us $400 per child to run the camp for 8 weeks. We have currently raised half the sponsorships. Would you and/or a group you are a part of consider sponsoring a kid? You could even shoot to save $50 a week for the eight weeks.

2. Dinners for the interns. Would you consider providing a meal or more in the evening for the summer intern team? You would need to cook or buy for 20 hungry adults, including a few volunteers. These are needed throughout the summer starting now.

3. We need a white refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher for the intern house, as well as any good condition twin bed mattresses. Lastly, we need a few nice couches and chairs.

Thank you so much for your prayer and partnership! We love you dearly!
