I wish I had a funny story to share here, I don't... I wish I had of remembered to uploaded many of the fun pics of whats been happening at our Summer Camp over the past month, but, I didn't... I wish I could come up with a "new" cleaver way to express what I am feeling, something that would keep your drawn in so that I wouldn't lose the few readers that I have (lol) I don't....All I have is this bible verse that the Lord gave me today as I have been struggling, wrestling with conflict. Wrestling with what it looks like to love my neighbor as myself, wrestling with what it looks like to love my husband, my child and to protect our family times together. Fighting with myself to make sure that GOD is GLORIFIED WITH MY LIFE while I am here on earth and that all that come into a relationship with me SEE HIM MORE and LESS OF ME.
1 Thess. 5:16-24
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it."
God is so committed to me, and to YOU. He has not only called us to HIMSELF, but HE PROMISES to do it. "It" is sanctify us. God grants grace to the sinner to be forgiven for his sins, then HE also provides GRACE for the sinner to be sanctified, to overcome his sins. I am learning through these mini trials in my life that God purpose for it all is my HOLINESS, and HE IS FAITHFUL TO THIS WORK in my life. This pain is here for a reason and for a season. HE will DO IT. God is trust worthy, He has a plan for all of lifes most difficult and uncomfortable times, and that my friends is soo good.
"In choosing you his purpose was your holiness. In predestining you his purpose was your holiness. In dying for you his purpose was your holiness. In calling you his purpose was your holiness. And so we can say with Paul in verse 24 not only, "He who called you is faithful, he will do it—he will sanctify you," but also, "He who chose you is faithful, he will do it. He who predestined you is faithful, he will do it. He who sent his Son to die for you is faithful, he will do it." - John Piper
I am resting and choosing gratitude over all of what is going on in my life, because has said HE WILL DO it. He is committed to me, to changing me and making sure I am "set apart" for Him and His purposes. What a great reminder and joyous promise the Lord has given us all. I am thankful because I can sleep well, in peace tonight because I know the Lord is working all things out for my good and for His glory. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
