First day of our Fall program went amazingly well! I was so proud of our kids, they came willing to cooperate with the new way things were set up. I tested at least 6 kids yesterday and they all did so well. This week we will be testing every child who walk through our doors in Reading, Writing, and Spellings. They were tested on letter recommendation, letter and word sounds, and the part they really loved, was when we had to time them to see how many words they could read in minute.( they also had to answer question about what they just read) It was great, just great! Below is a break down of what the program will look like next week until school is out. I am so excited and so thankful for how the LORD has revamped our whole program and has provided so many wonderful ways for us to invest in the next generation. What is happening in the lives of these kids will not only have a huge impact on them but most importantly, it will impact the generations that are to come!
*In the schedule below groups of kids are rotating from station to station throughout the day

3:30-3:50- Reading ( 3:30-4:34-Gym Activity/ Cheerleading for Girls
3:52-4:12-Writing
4:14-4:34 Multi- Media (here kids are taught to discern between good and evil in media. We will show or play two songs- i.e. Gucci Mane 'Bricks' vs Thisl 'Crack I Hate You'. Kids are then asked what the songs were about, what message they are communicating and what does the bible say about those messages. The goal and prayer is for our kids to have a biblical worldview)
