Safe Haven = Empty Streets

I remember 3 years ago the street we lived on was full of  kids, which was the main reason why we moved to this block. Nowadays, the block is quiet (a few gun shots every now and then) and empty. Where are all the kids?

I'll tell you where: at "the building".

After  being here for only 3 yrs, God has grown our ministry in some pretty amazing ways. Now, new to our schedule is an Art program beginning  next Thursday, (I will post pics soon) as well as Gymnastics that began last week!  We just began the first phase of our community garden which will be incorporated into our after school program eventually. We hope to make the garden apart of our entrepreneur program that's in the works for our middle school/high school kids.
I am so thankful God is providing other alternatives for our kids to stay off the streets. With local drug dealers appearing back on the scene, God could not have brought these activities at a better time. We have asked  God to provide a safe haven for our kids and by His faithfulness, He continues to do more than we could have imagined in ways only HE can dream up!

Sorry about the quality of the pics below, my camera cord is with a friend as a result I am uploading these pics from another camera.
Enjoy!!
