Bible reading is important, but reading page after page of the bible won't change your heart. That's why people in universities can study the Bible as a historical document or work of literature and never be influenced by it at all. You must not only read, but also pray for wisdom as you read each passage and ask God to send His Spirit to enlighten your understanding so that you can know what God meant in a particular passage... Daily bible reading does absolutely nothing for me if I don't take time to pray and ask God to open His Word to me.
