Lord, I am naturally selfish. Please forgive me for not choosing to die to myself.. I pray that believers everywhere would experience your love to the point that we all are loving others in the same way you have loved us. Help us to not forget about the poor, the fatherless, or the orphans. Please cause our ears to hear the commands to love justice, show mercy and walk humbly with you
But you, O God, do see trouble and grief;
you consider it to take it in hand.
The victim commits himself to you;
you are the helper of the fatherless... The LORD is King for ever and ever;
the nations will perish from his land. You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted;
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed,
