There are some very crazy things happening around us. Persecution on all fronts, sadness, depression, threats from neighborhood teens that they are about to take "their" neighborhood back with drugs, and gang activity ( did I mention these were guys that were professing Christ and who once use to met with our hubs once a week for bible study)...One teen has a 10 year old younger brother who hangs out a lot with Kevin and BK..he also is very involved in their young boys bible study.. this teenager who has turned to selling drugs, and gang banging, has informed his younger brother that Kevin and BK are making up everything that they are teaching him about the bible..he's telling him that none of it was real... you have gots to be kidding me!!??
I must be honest friends.. I have been feeling really sad,blue, depressed at times about all that is going on here.. I mean, even with the SLAM! girls, things have gotten crazy, one of the girls went off on me the other day because I asked her a question about her pursuing Jesus. Sense SLAM! has ended some of the girls are not getting along at this moment...
In the midst of all that is going on, we trust and believe that the LORD, the LORD our GOD reigns and he is here with us.. I mean this is why we came here in the first place...TO SEE GOD, here on earth.... we don't want to wait until heaven to see JESUS...show ME HIM NOW!! LORD SHOW US WHO YOU ARE...SHOW OUR HOOD WHO YOU ARE!!!!
Please pray for our hood, keep these kids in your prayers, as much as I want to make it about us, its not about us...Satan wants nothing more than to blind the hearts of those around us, he deceives with signs and wonders, he use people to hinder others from believing, he snatches the word away from people who hear, Satan hinders mission efforts in general ( 1 Thess. 2:17-18)
you know its crazy how so much has started to take place right at the moment we close and begin renovations on this ministry property that will be used to further much of GODS KINGDOM...
Looks like we have a serious conflict of kingdoms here..
