He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, the LORD gives sight to the blind, he lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves those who live justly. The LORD watches over the immigrant and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. -Psalm 146:7-9

It's Camp Time!!

Its summer camp madness around here!!  (if you're wondering why I've been so silent.) Things are going extremely well. My husband; who is the camp director, says this summer, he believes is the best year we've had thus far when it comes to how things have been flowing and the organization. WE are so thankful!! We have a total of 99 kids we are working with this summer. Monday- Friday they are involved in  numerous activities, from swimming to sewing, architecture, bowling, dance, gymnastics, academics, Taekwon-Do, basketball,  and cheerleading. God has provided many volunteers and 20 amazing summer interns. So much going on, so many wonderful opportunities to see God at work where we are. The Lord, in HIS provision of our building really has created a safe-haven for our kids, kids who we believe during the summer (or anytime) is most venerable to the destructive influence of our streets. I just smile at the thought of all God is doing.    He really is rebuilding the city.
