He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, the LORD gives sight to the blind, he lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves those who live justly. The LORD watches over the immigrant and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. -Psalm 146:7-9

Uh,Sista, Did You Mess Up My Cake?!

Dear Sams Club Lady,

I love you, I really do. But you know, its not everyday you talk to a woman on the phone who tries to make you feel as comfortable and loved as I do. I mean,I change my voice to make it sounds just like yours so that you are not as nervous, or fearful of talking to strangers when you have to sit and take phone orders all day.
I gave you simple directions, simple. I even used my Akeelah and the Bee skills by helping you spell out some of the words you couldn't remember. Girl, I might as darn well have begun a bible study with you over the phone due to the amount of time we spent trying to help you understand this one scripture verse. I gave you the benefit of the doubt Sams Club Lady, you broke my heart, yup, you did, you did, you did. I didn't want to compare you to your sister Wally who made the same mistake a couple of years back. Oh! you don't remember?! Well, let me help you :

Some people had a going away party for a woman that was leaving her place of work.
One of the supervisors called a Walmart and ordered a cake. He told them to write: “best wishes Suzanne” and underneath that write “we will miss you".

Here’s the cake that was delivered:

I mean COME ON PEOPLE! What happen? I know, I know that was not your fault, but hey, ya'll are related. Ya'll jokas swing from the same vine. Now what is your excuse for my cake?! I asked you to write the following, on the top "Pure In Heart" below was suppose to be the following verse "Love Comes From a Good Heart, Good Conscious, and a Sincere Faith" 1 Timothy 1:5

To my surprise, here is what my cake said:

Really?! Really?! Does the bottom of that cake really say "to a sincere face"

Well, Sams Club Lady, I hate to say it, but you have faithfully followed in the footsteps of your sister Wally. In the remarkable words of my brother Donald Trump, "Ya fired!"

This Is Our Calling..

1 Peter 2:21-24 (New International Version)

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps."He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

I have heard this verse twice today. Not to mention the amount of times it keeps coming up in my heart. This is the verse I want to live and breath as we continue this journey in urban ministry. Things are getting more complicated. I confess in my heart I have not been taking thing well. I have been angry, frustrated and a bit sad and angry some more. Honestly, when you look at it, the very things I am upset with others over is what I myself is guilty of. Lord help me.

Ministry is mess, relationships are messy, they just are. But I do understand that can be a good thing. I desire for my family as well as this ministry (and my personal self) to remember Jesus example. No matter how difficult, or unhopeful things may seem, my prayer tonight is that the Lord would grant us the grace to not retaliate, or make threats. But to entrust him who judges justly. (Thanks Zo :)

John Piper says this about Jesus, he says,

"....he handed over to God the whole situation including himself and those abusing him and the hurt done and all the factors that made it a horrendous outrage of injustice that the most innocent man who ever lived should suffer so much. He trusted it all into God's hands as the one who would settle the matter justly someday. He said, "I will not carry the burden of revenge, I will not carry the burden of sorting out motives, I will not carry the burden of self-pity; I will not carry the burden of bitterness; I will hand all that over to God who will settle it all in a perfectly just way and I will pray, Father, forgive them they don't know what they do (Luke 23:34)....

He goes on to ask, "How do you survive and thrive and go on loving when your deep judicial sense cries out: NO! It isn't right. This can't be tolerated. It is not fair:

The answer again is God. Paul said in Romans 12:19–20, "Beloved do not avenge yourselves, but give place to wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.' No, 'if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink.'"
In other words, do what Jesus did. Hand it over to God. God sees it. And God judges justly. Nothing escapes his notice. Nothing falls from his memory. He will settle all accounts more fairly than we ever could. Lay it down. Let it go. This is your calling. "

This is our calling. This... Is...Our..Calling. This last has me upset, yet encouraged. Upset because I want control, (keeping it 100) I want to give people what I feel like they deserve. Lord help me with my prideful heart. But encouraged because I know God is the ONLY WISE GOD and knows how to handle all things perfectly.

I pray as a ministry tonight that we don't waste our trials. That we make the most of them. We don't allow them to determine our happiness or joy. We don't allow the injustice around us to tempt us to respond in way that will bring dishonor to the Lord. Oh, brothers and sisters in the faith, how hard this is. This is very hard. But.. I know that God promises to not put more on us then what we can bear and in every temptation he provides a way of escape and power to respond biblically. I pray we remember God, we continue to hand it over to him and be free men and women tonight because we trust in His Sovereignty.

Their Playing Basketball

We had a great turnout for our ministry fundraiser. Not sure yet how much we raised but I am sure it is more than what we had. That's something to choose gratitude for. :) Ministry partner and Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel was one of the main speakers at our event. He encouraged guest to support what God was doing through our ministry. All of the proceed raised that night would go towards a basketball court for the kids in our hood. Danny had the chance to get it in with some of our staff and neighbors in a game of basketball earlier that day. From what I hear 'Frog' (who is pictured with Danny) smashed homie in the game. LOL!! Sorry Danny,b-ball in the hood as you know aint no joke. Lord willing, maybe the next time he visits they will have a chance to play in our brand new indoor court! yes! Pray with me....

Keepers Of The "Kiss"

Once upon a time, there were 16 princess who had never been told about a special gift that they were given. That gift was the "kiss". This gift was to be kept safe, until they were to marry. IF, they ever did get married. But, if not, then the gift would be theirs to treasure FOREVER. The King, their Father, was mindful of his daughters, He knew how difficult this task would be for them. So, before eternity pass, he had a plan to send out messengers to instruct, train and encourage His daughters in how to preserve such a gift until the right time. The messengers were honored to be apart of such a task. You see, they too once were given the same gift, unfortunately, some gave it away. But, the gracious King restored what was lost, and gave them joy and peace beyond all understanding. He used what happen to them to prepare and equip them to be used for His purposes and the good of these precious princesses.

After much prayer and careful instruction, the Princesses begin to learn how much the King loved them, how much of a unique and special treasure they were, how to guard their "kiss" (purity) as they grew up. They learned to be careful about making friends/marrying "strangers" (non believers), they learned how to guard their heart, to beware of someone of tries to buy them love, they even learned how submission and humility reflect a wise heart, and so much more.

The Princess were quite thrilled to have learned such a wealth of knowledge. For it taught them how to live outside of the royal palace. A place that was quite scary to many of them. A place were they spent most of their time before the Kings messengers arrived. Now fear was no longer a issue for them. You see, now the Princesses knew how to think and respond to such chaotic dwellings.

On Friday, April 23, 2010, the King hosted a ball in honor of His daughters to celebrate the beginning of a journey that they would always remember. The Kings messengers awarded the Princess for their endurance and faithfulness by giving them The Princess Prayer Box Necklace. It symbolizes the Kings gift of purity. It is also representative of the messengers love, desire and prayer for the princess to choose a path of purity and to keep her "kiss" safe. The symbols on each side of this beautiful Prayer Box will help the princess remember key life lessons that they learned during this journey.

What a celebration it was!! Many of the Princess mums and grandmums were in attendance. They were informed about all that the Princesses learned and were encouraged to join them on the journey. The King has plan for his daughters, daughters everywhere! What a honor, privilege and joy it was to partake in such a memorable celebration. Until next year when a new group of Princess will grace the court, may I encourage you to love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

The Re:Conference

Many times in urban ministry you have to make yourself to a break. Neighborhood ministry can be very tiresome. If you are a mom or single who lives in the hood, many times when you leave the area where you minister the most to go home, your job does not end there. You arrive home to find the very kids/families you just left waiting for you on your front porch. (LOL! happens to us all the time) My wise friend Lenita has put together an amazing conference for those of us who need to be re:freshed, and re:vived.

This will be a great time for women who are involved in urban ministry to:

Relate: Women connecting with other women walking out life in service to the city.
Release: Women joining together to lay aside what they do and be reminded of who the are.
Relax: Women soaking in the tranquil setting of lush palm trees beside cool waters.
Redefine: Women seeing that the word “conference“ has an entirely new meaning.
Rejuvenate; Women uniting with other women to witness a renewal of the soul.
Refresh: Women connecting with other women to replenish themselves mind, body and spirit.

“THE re:” Conference
Thursday June 3- Sautrday June 5, Miami Fl

In its inaugural year, this unique conference defines itself as the “unconference.”
The idea behind “THE re:” is that it be a weekend of connection and growth for women serving in the urban context.
The luxurious atmosphere of the Doral Spa and Resort in Miami, Florida invites all the participants to be pampered in mind, body and spirit.

From the moment women arrive they will find their “connecting point,” groups of women where they fit . Women are free to find as many connecting points as they desire throughout the weekend, and there will be plenty of opportunities to mingle and go deep.

Through the “WORTH shops” women will be given the opportunity to learn and grow in a topics specifically addressing the needs of women who serve in the city. These two hour sessions will intentionally engage the participant in interactive discussion with plenty of space to apply all they learn.

The weekend is overflowing with opportunities for you find your “re.” We will be sitting, standing, resting, teaching, recharging, learning, pampering, connecting with our Lord and Savior and so much more. Come and create your own experience.

Bring It On

I didn’t come lookin’ for trouble
And I don’t want to fight needlessly
But I’m not gonna hide in a bubble
If trouble comes for me
I can feel my heart beating faster
I can tell something’s coming down
But if it’s gonna make me grow stronger then…

Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let the hard rain fall, let it make me strong
Bring it on

Now, maybe you’re thinkin’ I’m crazy
And maybe I need to explain some things
‘Cause I know I’ve got an enemy waiting
Who wants to bring me pain
But what he never seems to remember
What he means for evil God works for good
So I will not retreat or surrender

Now, I don’t want to sound like some hero
‘Cause it’s God alone that my hope is in
But I’m not gonna run from the very things
That would drive me closer to Him
So bring it on

Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let it make me fall on the One who’s strong
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let me be made weak so I’ll know the strength of the One who’s strong
Bring it on
Bring it on

-Steven Curtis Chapman

Oh, hear my cry oh Lord. I am so tired. I am so weary. I am so in need of your grace and peace right now. My enemy is always right before me. Please help me to move pass this. I am so confident you will use this for my good and for your glory.Thank you for the teaching you have exposed my heart to,thank you for your word and how it helps my heart to be comforted. Social Justice Christian

I am a social justice christian for many reasons. But, primarily because I follow Jesus who said He came to bring good news to the poor.
We are to follow in His footsteps.....

Psalm 82:3
Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Then Sings My Soul Saturdays- Worthy Is The Lamb

Secret Keeper Girl

Sometimes I can do a horrible job when it comes to spending time with my daughter. I am thankful because the Lord has provided grace for me to make this one on one time a priority. I really dont think I understood why this was important because here I am stay at home mom of one who happens to homeschool and take her daughter with her everywhere she goes. Literally, everywhere. Kai and I are attached to the hip.
I decided a couple of weeks ago that I would stick to my calendar and make sure I get some fun girl time, along with some healthy dialog as to what is really going on in the mind of my seven year old.

A week ago, Kai and I begin reading Dannah Gresh fun fiction books for young girls called, Secret Keeper Girls.
What is an SKG? Well, from what I have read and learned a SKG values modesty, she surrounds herself with wise friends and she embraces Godly beauty. But, the most important thing for me to know and teach my daughter was that a Secret Keeper Girl is a masterpiece created by God.

The first book in the SKG series we read was Just Call Me Kate. (quick synopsis) Kate Harding has bigger problems than trying to get her parents to stop calling her “Katie”. She has a major crush on her older brother’s best friend: Zachary Donaldson. She can’t stop thinking about him and he’s at her house 24/7! When the Principal of Rutherford B. Hayes Junior High School discovers that Kate has proclaimed her love for Zachary on the girls’ bathroom wall, things really start to look bad. Meeting 3 fabulous friends, Toni, Danika, and Yuzi, ends up being just what Kate needs to stop obsessing and start having fun.

This was a very good story, kai enjoyed the humor of it, and that encouraged her to listen to the biblical lessons it carried as well. Yesterday, we enjoyed the day out getting pedicures and manicures. ( I also got something done to these eyebrows of mine, ya girl almost had a uni brow... what in the world was I thinking going that long without getting them waxed lol) Afterwards,we headed over to Sonic to enjoy their happy hour (slushes and soda people, get ya mind right!!! hahah) as we sat in the car, we begin to talk about our week, what she was learning in her times in the word, and other fun things she would like us to do together. I proceeded to ask her what was the most important thing she learned from my purity study. She begins to share/confess to me her own boy craziness just as Kate in the Secret Keeper Girl book. She begins to tell me that her favorite lesson in the purity study was the one about being purity in what you think,do, and say.She explains that she really liked the part about how we don't have to show off in front of others, especially boys. You see, my daughters memory verse this week has been Romans 1:25

For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

This is what we saw in the life of Kate in the book and now my own seven year old was telling me how she believed her heart was beating the same thing....

"mama, I have to tell you that, I sometimes use to do things to get boys attention. You know my birthday outfit...well, you can throw that into the trash, I don't want to wear it anymore....thats not modest or that wasn't pleasing to God..."

Now, lets discuss. We are not talking about a dress. We are not talking about a pair of 'daisy dukes'. We are not talking about a low cute shirt where all of the chest is out. We are not talking about a tube top. We are talking is a pair of skinny leg jeans, and a pink t-shirt. BUT, they happen to be by a well known designer that a lot of kids in my hood, brag about wearing. In the hood name brand is EVERYTHING. This outfit, that was purchased for my daughter as a gift, was nothing more than what the kids around us wear all the time.
But....God had revealed to my daughter the idolatry behind her heart. She and I begin to talk more about the culture and what they value and what her memory verse says about what happened in her heart as well as those around her. I told her how thankful I was to the Holy Spirit who is working in her life. How that was encouraging for me to hear her honesty and witness her repentance in this matter. We both gave thanks to the Lord. As we drove off into the sun set with our Cherry limeade slushes...

Okay, not really, we did not ride off into the sun set.(ha!!) Man, I just always wanted to say that. Okay, for real, we just sat there smiling, blasting the new Sho Baraka in our speakers, enjoying our drinks. God indeed was revealing to me his faithfulness. I may have said this before, but I just wonder what ways Jesus is going to rock the world of this child? How will He use her? What special calling does He have on her life, if any? I know one thing, He is already used her greatly in mine, even if the Lord calls her to himself today, she has already accomplished much in revealing to me who HE IS. That is what all of creation is about, displaying the glory of the One who was, and IS to come.

Glory To God...

Them People

A blog friend who happens to do urban ministry was asked a very interesting (because I wonder all the time what is happening to christianity) but VERY SAD question and I quote, "Why do you let those drunks and druggies and them people come to your church?"

I almost dropped my computer after reading this. His respons was so on point, because it was so like what Jesus would have said. I felt what he said was his initial hearts response, because I have gotten the same question except instead of it being said "to your church" it was asked, "why have your children around such people".... I can blog all day (literally) about my heart and struggles about what people feel like you should or should not be doing/exposing your kids to. Anyway, I will write about that later...in the mean time. Check out Phil's rebuke/exhortation to the church. My Lord, have we yet to become CHRISTIANS?! My heart just breaks for us, we just dont get it. (christians that is)

I am so thankful for Phil and his wife Nicolle. They have been such a force of encouragement to me in my walk with the Lord. I am looking forward to the day we meet face to face.

Its, crazyI look forward to the summer, yet, I dont. I dont because, of all the random shoot outs, wild parties, more drug activity out in the open, kids left alone while parents are who knows were.,half naked women walking up and down the streets (and standing on corners) These things go on all the time, yes, but ,you become more aware of them during the summer for some odd reason. I do look forward to the summer because familiy vacation, (YAY!!) staff vacation time, ( woot woot!!) I enjoy seeing all the kids out playing, Ice cream trucks riding through the hood, baseball games, my birthday(yea I said it LOL) and one of my favorite is the CGM Summer Internship. I have been praying for these interns that the Lord would rock their world for the better. That they would come and learn much about the Kingdom of God amongst those we minister too. That the Lord would give them a heart of compassion, justice and mercy. I would love to introduce you to Ava and Travis. We met Travis and Ava this past spring break when their church came and stayed a week for a missions trip. Well, that trip has sparked a desire for them to work with us and our kids this summer. They are giving their lives away this summer in order to find it. They started a blog about their journey and I would love for you all to visit and pray for them as well. I'm so excited for all our our interns and I cant wait for their arrival!

Empowerment Not Dependancy

This is one of many heartbeats of our ministry. A wise friend once said, "Programs don't change people, people change people" That my friends is empowerment at its finest.

"Empowering people as community developers meet their needs is an important element to Christian Community Development. How does a pastor ensure that people are able to help themselves after they have been helped? Oftentimes, Christian ministry, particularly in poor communities, creates dependency. This is no better than the federal government welfare program. The Bible teaches empowerment, not dependency.

In the Old Testament, empowerment is an important aspect to God’s care for the poor. In Deuteronomy 24 and Leviticus 19, God instituted the gleaning system. The farmers harvested their crops but were only allowed to go through the field one time. What was left behind or dropped on the ground was available for any widow, alien, orphan or poor person to come and harvest. This program was one that empowered people.

Three principles come out of God’s welfare system in the Old Testament. First, there must be opportunity for people to get their needs met. In Deuteronomy and Leviticus, this happened to be a field with food in it. Secondly, the person who had a need must be willing to work for it. The widow, alien, orphan or poor person must go into the field and pick up the crops. This, then, involved work on the part of the poor. This is also found in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 which says, “If you don’t work, you don’t eat.”

Thirdly, when these first two principles are working, a person's dignity is affirmed. All people have inherited dignity by being created in the image of God. Oftentimes, charity demeans a person and strips him or her of dignity. The last principle of empowerment affirms a person's God-given dignity."

Shut Us Down

Its been a little rough for many of us in ministry. ( can't you tell, I have posted a least three blog post in ONE DAY.lol) I was riding to the gym the other morning and was listening to this song, which is on Sho Baraka new cd Lions and Liars. and just begin to weep. I wept for those in the world who don't understand us (or our ministry) I wept even harder for the Church of believers that don't get the lifestyle the Lord has called us to. So much opposition before us. This song screamed out so many emotions I felt at that time. Many I cant even go into detail about here. As I continued to listen I was encouraged, my favorite line on the song was : " I will do this until I take my last breathe, beautiful feet, I'm running until I take my last step, there's nothing they can do to STOP what the LORDS DOING, come in the kitchen come take a look at what the Lord's brewing.......you can lie, you can hate, you can run us down, but in the end the gates of hell COULDN'T SHUT US DOWN!!!!"

If you haven't already, go purchase this cd, the Lord has gifted Sho in so many ways. This brothers honesty, and biblically sound lyrics are so refreshing. Its sooo worth purchasing!!
*don't forget to scroll to bottom of page to turn off music player*

Lyrics Below (Lecrae verse missing-sorry)

(After Edmund)
Run with us, or you can hate me/
But it will be hard to shut us down/

Verse 1

Call your man, call your girl, tell them all call their bluff/
Tell them call the stations ask them why they hate on us/
Took an ouch for His people just so He can stay in touch/
Check the record books you're better off to run with us/
Call us punks, call us weak, call us chumps, call us dumb/
Call the verizon network and that's not enough/
On the tv on the block, on theirs phone call us wack/
Go ahead a try to shut us down, aint no app for that/

Verse 2

Verse 3
Some think we're mess some calling us blessed/
A mic and a stage don't always equals success/
Sometimes a bigger platform only brings more stress/
So I watch my life and my doctrine and pray for the best/
AT said go and shine your light homes/
They wanna see his crash like the Dow Jones/
It's like Matt 16 who can come against it/
You can be a Pharisee or you can be a witness/
If we stay in the church they will call us religious/
If we go on mtv and the saints think were trippin/
If we try to hit the streets then we're thugs in sin/
With those spectator you cant expect to win/
Its hard to make decisions when theory clouded your vision/
Sometimes I'm confused with who is the opposition/
I swear I heard cheers when I fumbled the ball/
They claim they're on our team but praying for our fall/

Teach Them Diligently..

"Mama, may I tell you what I read in my bible this morning?"

Like honey to my ears, I have heard this for the past two weeks from my seven year old. I am so thankful for the desire the Lord has placed in her heart for the scriptures. I wonder what His plans are for her? Will I even live long enough to see Him use her in the life of many? I am enjoying this. I see Him molding her, I see Him sending her through different trials, I see Him revealing Himself to her. She is learning how to process our urban ministry life through the lens of scripture, and she is getting it. She is learning to Trust the ONE who created her for his Kingdom purposes. I am praying she falls deeply in love with him, and that she lives a undistracted, unwasted life devoted to Him. I love you princess.....

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.-Deu. 6:6-7

The God I Trust In

*I was driving down one of my streets the other day and saw this similar image. From what I am told it could mean a gang is marking the boundaries of their territory, or gang members creating a place of memorial for where they lost a member, or crack dealers advertising their presence in the neighborhood, or it could be some bully taunting some poor defenseless child by taking his sneakers and throwing them out of his reach, whatever the case, I knew it was NOT a good sign.**

Its near summer, and you know what that means for some hoods... Shoot outs, high speed chase, wild parties, missing kids, murders, half naked men and women out on the streets, police raids, hatred and racism, ect, ect.

I have witnessed all of the above just within the past 2 weeks. Every time around this year, (which I know these things happen all year round, for some reason they come out heavier during the spring and summer) I think I am ready and I never am. My heart is so broken for my city. I have been discouraged about many things pertaining to ministry. I know some of us in our PCA or reformed circles don't like to talk much about spiritual warfare and Satan, but my LORD, he is real and he is on the prowl. Its biblical people, and you don't need to a Pentecostal to be believe that. Get over it.
I am so thankful for God's word and all the comfort, peace and HOPE it brings. I have been meditating on different passages that speak of Gods SOVEREIGN control over all things. Satan has no power over Gods kingdom purposes and the battle is already won. But, as I look out on my streets, I see him at work, controlling the minds of those who are lost, I see a war against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Remembering and focusing on the TRUTH of the scriptures are sooo important for me right now.....

Ps. 22:27-28
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and He rules over the nations.

Ps. 33:14,15
From His dwelling place He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works.

Ps. 86:9
All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord; and they shall glorify Thy name.

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be which goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

Lam. 2:17

The Lord has done what He purposed; He has accomplished His word which He commanded from days of old.

Heb. 8:8-12
"Behold days are coming", says the Lord, "when I will effect a new covenant....I will put my laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people....for all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more. Lam. 3:37-39
Who is there who speaks and it comes to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both good and evil go forth? Why should any living mortal, or any man, offer complaint in view of his sins?

Malachi 1:11
For from the rising of the sun, even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts

Rom. 8:28
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose

Col. 1:16-18

For in Him all things were created....all things have been created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together....so that He Himself might come to have first place

This is the God that I TRUST IN. One who is all WISE, forever FAITHFUL, in complete CONTROL of ALL that happens around me. Ministry can be soo messy, I am so glad I KNOW the One who can and will clean it up!!!

Then Sings My Soul Saturday-He Lives!!!

Happy Easter! He Lives friends!! Jesus is Alive and so are we in HIM!!!! I am so thankful today!!!!! My salvation is secure!!!!

I know He lives (woah)
I believe He lives (ooh)
I'm sure He lives (woah)
I'm sure He lives
(How y'all doin' today)
I know He lives (the Savior lives)
The Savior lives (ooh, oh)

It's time to celebrate the Savior and His worth
Let's shout because we know He lives and we are certain
His love has set us free, our enemies defeated
If with me you agree, come on and lift up your hands

Everybody lift your hands if you know that Jesus is worthy
Open up and give Him praise, let's do it in a hurry
If you love Him, let's glorify in the song and in the dance
You know the Savior lives come on and lift up your hands

To understand just why we praise let me tell you how it all went down
The news spread so very fast, people came from miles around
This would be the day Christ would be crucified
He took His last breath, He hung His head and He died
They took my Savior down from off that rugged cross
They laid Him in a tomb, it seemed all hope was truly lost
But the third day came along and brought the rhythm of life
The stone was rolled away, an angel proudly proclaimed

He lives (He lives) He lives
(Christ is risen) Christ is risen just like He said
(Our Lord and Savior) The Lord and Savior's no longer dead
Rejoice and celebrate, He lives, He lives, Jesus, He's alive

[chorus 2x]
